Laslo Pinter

From the earliest youth, my life was permeated with spiritual experiences and insights, which reflected on my professional, as well as on my personal vocation. Over the years, through the inner perception of these experiences, I was able to perceive my true nature. As a boy, I had a vision of myself living with a group of people whose approach to life was complete, vivid and realistic, while everything we did was filled with vividness and meaning and reflected our true needs. This vision has lead me through my whole life.

Providing psychological help to others on the path of their own development is the work that I have committed myself to. The most meaningful part of my work is assisting the people who request my assistance, by helping them to return to themselves and to their own nature, which is real and alive, and by helping them to listen and learn to follow this deeper part of themselves, connected to the positive intention towards themselves, towards others and towards life.

Apart from my work as a therapist, which I have been doing within my own practice since 1995, I feel it as my personal mission to be involved in the training programmes that would help the people to return to their vivid and realistic human nature, and to live their lives in full instead of living the lives that are torn apart. This has been my motivation to create the platform of the Centre for Integrative Development together with Tomislav in 2003, and to establish a school whose programme would make life richer in this sense.

Along with individual therapy work, holding group workshops and establishing the school within the Centre for Integrative Development, first in Zagreb, and afterwards in other parts of Croatia, I have also established a platform for personal development based on the CID method in Hungary, in the form of the training entitled the Integrative Core Dynamics.

In my work I support others in creating a happy life, that is, a life without unnecessary suffering. At the same time, I believe that life must be wholesome, and in order to achieve happiness, a person must live out all of its aspects – from the care for themselves and their own health, work, partner relations, family and wider community in which they live, to the care for their own spiritual evolution, which also represents a deeper reflection of our responsibility for all of these aspects of life.

This means that I believe with my whole hearth in the meaning of the work that I do, not only professionally, but also in my private life.

Driven by curiosity about the functioning of the human mind, I was only a teenager when I developed an interest for psychology and spirituality. This had lead me to learn about the role of the subconscious part of our psyche and its power and influence in creation of our most important beliefs and patterns. I became fascinated with the fact that until we open our unconscious and repressed mind, we will remain trapped in our past, destined to life in suffering.

Out of the great desire to learn more and see what really matters, I looked for the path and teaching that would be complete, i.e. that would include both, theory and experience. I found such programme in France, which was the starting point of my serious work and research into the area of my own psychic space. The training consisted of learning about the relevant psychodynamic principles and of experiential cathartic work on reliving the suppressed traumas and emotions. At the same time, I took psychotherapy session in order to find additional support in taking this path. All these new discoveries started to significantly influence my life and initiated great changes. I continued my training in Switzerland in the programme of the clinical psychologist Alexis Johnson, Ph.D., and I started to research early childhood development and its influence on the subsequent formation of personality. The notion of this inseparable connection between the body and psyche motivated me to start the Core Energetics programme of body-oriented psychotherapy led by Sigmar Gerken, Ph.D.

After years of study and research, I felt a desire to share what I learned, in Croatia. I started a private therapy practice, and together with my friend and colleague Laszlo Pinter, I found the Centre for Integrative Development. The Centre has been operating without interruptions ever since it was established, 14 years ago. Today I live and work as an integrative therapist in Zagreb, and I also give lectures and hold workshops in Zagreb, Split and Budapest.

My greatest passion is bringing to consciousness the unconscious supressed experiences and emotions and learning about the ways in which they influence our lives later on. I have a special interest in the early childhood trauma and its subsequent influence on the quality of life.

I believe that our life mission is to expend our consciousness and awareness, which is the only way for us to live our lives in the truth. Everything else causes pain.

ENESA MAHIĆ

My professional biography largely reflects the personal one – every workshop and training I attended since my high-school days primarily represented an attempt to help myself.

Body-oriented psychotherapy and 5Rhythms dancing are the practices that lead me in putting together the scattered pieces of me: connecting my body with the emotions I used to avoid; connecting emotions with deep understanding of the roots of my problems; connecting understanding with willingness and action aimed at changing the things that do not help me; connecting with the feeling that I am pursuing the right path and that the truth of what I really am is greatly exceeding what I see, think and feel.

I have no doubts about the transformative powers of this work, because I have experienced it first-hand.

Even after all these years of work, I am still fascinated by the wisdom and beauty of a body, I am thrilled by the fact that pain and joy are similar aspects of the same force, and I am grateful that my vocation is removing the barriers on the way towards a more intense, happier and more sincere life.

After years of searching for a direction that would enable me to be present with everything that I am, without any judgements or corrections, but with acceptance and support, during the process of developing my own potential, my life has taken a new integrative turn in both fields, private and professional. The spiritual acceptance of reality and the ability to use psychological tools for continuous personal development, has lead me to the feeling of fulfilment and to awaken this intense passion for continuing my professional path. Due to my personal experience and years of professional development, I am able to support others on their way of discovering their own potentials and integrating them in a fulfilled and high-quality life.

At the moment, I work at the school of the Centre for Integrative Development as part of the Teacher Team, and I also hold individual sessions for people interested in self-development.

For years I have been organising and facilitating family constellations workshops in Zagreb and within the summer intensive trainings at the coast.

Family constellations, as a way of resolving the relationship issues in general, bring understanding and acceptance of the hidden features of family relationships, and relationships among people in general.  This leads to the feeling of peace and acceptance of reality, and provides us with an opportunity for personal development.

Working with people through a clear positive intention and presence brings results that fill me with deep gratitude for the life that I have chosen.

MATEA BLAŽEVIĆ

I have spent my childhood in a small street in one of the suburbs of Zagreb, usually with broken nose and knees, climbing trees in my neighbours’ orchards. I loved stories, singing, dancing and playing outdoors with my playmates. There was a lot of children in my street in Novi Zagreb. One part of me remained in that time, playing and finishing up what was started and never finished.

Our childhood parts are always here. Regardless of our age, these parts are often the ones that leads us or make us stop. The stories that were not finished in childhood, we tend to resolve in our mature age, whether we are aware of that or not.

In my adolescent years, my journey towards reviving that free and creative child inside me has lead me to the body-oriented psychotherapy. Later on, as a young psychologist who was about to graduate and was full of different theories and therapist approaches that were tried out, I was interested in what was behind of all these analyses. I discovered experience. Although the theories are necessary, and conversation is powerful, even more power is hidden in emotional and physical aspect. This is why the experience is irreplaceable in both, personal and professional development.

Today I run my own psychology centre, where I work as a child psychologist. In my work, I feel that my task is to support the child in his/her free and lively nature, in expressing the full spectre of emotions without separating them as good and bad. Moreover, I am putting the emphasis on teaching the parents about the needs of their child.

Along with working as a therapist with individual clients and giving lectures, I organise workshops for children and their parents, and I have established the Meleta Centre with my three companions.

Professional education:

2010 – graduate psychologist, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Zagreb
2011 – 2014 training at the Centre for Integrative Development
2014 – 2016 training in clinical expressive art therapy CEAT
2016 – two-year advance training of the Centre for Integrative Development

KRUNO ŠUNJIĆ

After seemingly normal and peaceful childhood, my youth-days were somewhat more turbulent, filled with insecurity and search for my own identity and happiness. In my family and in the environment in which I was “supposed” to develop into an average university-educated citizen, I just couldn’t find a path that would be fulfilling for me.
After finishing high-school I had no idea what I wanted and what fulfilled me, and I had no strength to continue pursuing any of the “usual” paths. I had reached the point at which I did not know how to continue, or in what direction.

At that time I have already developed an interest in psychology, particularly in the transaction analysis, and due to the certain spiritual experiences I sensed that there was a solution and that it was possible to reach happiness, but I just couldn’t find the right way to get there.

The realisation that I should seriously confront myself has invoked a touch of destiny, which lead me to the first self-development course on my path.

That weekend, a miracle truly happened. I felt happiness, fulfilment, connection with people and something even greater and universal. From that moment on, I knew that this was my path and that I am going to dedicate my life to it.

This was followed by years of various courses, hard work, learning, therapy and self-research. I immediately started assisting in courses and sharing the knowledge and experience I gained with everybody around me.

During this period I was also in a need of a different, more grounding life experience, so I spent eight years as a director and co-owner of a private company. I feel that this experience and the responsibilities that I had to take had a significant influence on my maturing.

When I felt the need to commit myself more intensely to personal development once again, I decided to start the programme of the Centre for Integrative Development and to wrap up this chapter of my life. As I was attending the trainings at the CID, it became clear to me that the time has come to completely commit myself to working as a therapist and a teacher. My whole life until that moment seemed as a preparation for that. Preparation to finally step into what I felt was the only fulfilling activity for me in both areas, personal and professional.

Now, I am finally living out the two of my deepest passions – the passion to understand myself and others at all levels, and the passion to convey my knowledge and experience of that to the people who wish to hear about it.

I feel that our greatest aspiration as human beings is to feel our deepest core, live it out, and feel the cores of other people and connect with them on that level. The ability to feel this and to help others feel it as well, was worth every moment of hardship I ever went through.

Professional education:

2011 – 2015 Centre for Integrative Development, training in integrative therapy

2012 – 2001 Course for spiritual healers, co-leader of the course

I was born in 1976. in Split, where I have spent the most of my life.  Ever since I was little, I highly appreciated the values of family, community and mutual trust and sharing. I have a family of my own, I have three sons, and I am able to cherish these family values in my own way.

In 2006 I had a life crisis. I lost my way and my sense of direction and didn’t know where to go. In spite of the well-situated life, nice family and supportive environment, I had faced a wall. There was no rationalisation that could have helped me and I was slowly getting lost in the meaninglessness of the existence. Then I got lucky and in my search, I found the CID programmes. I took the path of return to myself. Today, when I look back, I feel and see the huge change in my everyday life, in relations with my family and friends.

My personal changes reflected the changes in my family and my wider community. In 2008, I established an association for helping the parents who have children with special needs – SLON (ELEPHANT). In this association, I was able to implement the CID programmes in practice, which has given me the additional self-confidence and revealed the true power and efficiency of the CID’s teachings. In 2009, in cooperation with Tomislav and Laslo I established the CID Split and I have been working as its teacher ever since.

I especially enjoy working on interpersonal relations within the family constellations therapy. As a family woman and a mother with a complex family heritage, I am able to easily and precisely detect family difficulties. This, along with the knowledge of psychological and analytical theory learned at the CID, enables me to achieve extraordinary results in working with people.

Training and practice in therapy:

2009 – Manager and teacher at CID Split
2009 – Therapist – private practice
2008 – 2015 – President of association of parents with children with special needs SLON (ELEPHANT)
2013 – Independent facilitator for family constellations therapy
2010 – 2012 – Advanced CID training
2009 – 2013 – Assistant for family constellations therapy held by Svjetlana Bukovec
2006 – 2010 – CID training

I am a curious person interested in many different things in life, but ever since my adolescent days, I’ve been interested in researching psychic, spiritual and energy dimensions. I was always looking for a deeper meaning in everything, and I was especially interested in the purpose and meaning of my life and existence. Back then, I didn’t know what it could be, but I looked for it.

In all phases of my life, there was always a book, or more books, that I studied, a workshops and courses where I gained new knowledge about the functioning of the energy or spiritual dimension, and about the way in which our psyche or our beliefs influence the quality of our lives. I searched everywhere for answers, but it always seemed that something was missing. Finally, when I came to the CID training, in the first hour of the lecture I attended I knew that this was what I was looking for.

Through its integrative approach, the CID training joins together different dimensions of existence. It begins with a notion that it is equally important to become aware of the physical, psychological, mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions of existence. Discovering the background mechanisms of everything is what I find truly fulfilling, and at that moment I was finally able to gain deeper understanding of and find connection between the various teachings and approaches that I learned about earlier. A large part of my life was based on experiencing the world through mind and logical connections, and the greatest achievement for me took place in a moment when I was able to integrate this knowledge with the wisdom of the body and emotions.

This was followed by the two-year advanced CID training, and after that by the training at the Center for Intentional Living lead by Alexis Johnson Ph.D, and Judith Sarah Schmidt, Ph.D., which was focused on clinical psychology with an emphasis on understanding the development processes in the first years of life and the way in which they influence the forming of a personality. After a regular three-year training, I continued to attend their one-year seminars.

All these years of learning were immensely helpful to me, and they still help me in coping with different challenges that life inevitably brings on.

Although the goal of all my research was to help myself, in these searches I discovered love for teaching and therapy work. My passion for teaching was truly a surprise, since I didn’t even dream of being able to stand before people, give lectures and enjoy it.

I am grateful for the fact that through this work I was given the opportunity to develop my potential in different areas, including the ones that I never thought I had any potential to begin with. At the same time, I find an immense fulfilment and joy when I witness the moments of self-awakening and return to their own self in other people.

ASJA KUZMANIĆ ROJE

In my earliest childhood, I had very vivid dreams that were showing me the Path. Disapproval of the people in my surroundings influenced me and made me adjust to others in order to please them. This made me grow apart from my real self and caused discrepancies inside myself: between my body, emotions and soul.

I had a husband, two university diplomas, I had a “dream” job, including the accompanying social status and power, but I was neither satisfied, nor happy and fulfilled.

The integrative, transformative CID programme was a challenge for me. I stopped trying to escape from myself when things got unpleasant, I started facing the absence from my body, as well as my self-sabotage and self-criticism. The things that I was the most terrified of today help me to get to know myself and love myself better and deeper. In order to become who I really am, I had to make a decision to “renounce” all the roles that I identified with, all the roles that I imposed on myself. In order to become who I really am, I let go of the illusion of security.

For twenty years I worked on the tasks of the national security, protecting the right and lives of the citizens, without ever realising the fact that I was the one in need of this life and protection. Today I find security inside myself, and I am able to lead others on this path, since I managed to reconcile the contradictions inside me: stability, presence, tenderness, vulnerability, compassion, honesty and open-mindedness with strength, courage, passion, bravery, determination, will, focus and intention of living my own Truth. I believe that improving myself, changing myself and trying to find balance between the inside and outside world is a lifelong art. As well as being ready to demolish walls and build bridges on which we could meet.

I am motivated by challenges and I see them as possibilities and not obstacles. To me, success means being able to experience failures without losing the enthusiasm and boldness, but staying on my path in my hearth and Truth. I live and believe in this path of transformation, not only personally, but also in my professional work in which I inspire and encourage others to recognise and follow their True paths in their hearts. Consequently, in 2015, I established the Integral Centre in Split, where I organise and facilitate workshops in order to convey to the local community the experience and knowledge gained within and based on the CID training. At the same time, when working as a therapist I use my five-year experience of exploring my own body and patterns through practicing the 5Rhythms, shamanic experience, and the experience of the flow of life energy (de-armouring). My passion for what I do results from my faith in me and in good outcomes. My first-hand experience showed me that this works, that the risk was worth taking, and that deep changes in our hearts and lives are possible.

I am a happy mother of my daughters Tali and Tara.
